Do Blondes Have More Fun? Triple Blondes Lead in Fall Color Popularity
Noufal Hair Color Studio, an award-winning full-service salon, announced today hair style and color trends for women during the approaching fall, and even an ‘80s favorite hair tool makes a come back this season. Salon owner Joey Noufal says Victoria Beckham and Carrie Underwood are two celebrities dominating hair style trends.
“Just as in fashion, international trends come across the Atlantic influencing hair styles,” Noufal says. “We are currently under a British invasion in terms of hair influence. Victoria Beckham's bi-level cut with multiple lengths is the most requested style right now.”
Noufal reveals additional color trends and popular styles for all hair lengths, including a blast from the past in terms of a hair “tool”. “As you start to pull out your favorite fall sweater, go ahead and dig for your hot rollers,” Noufal adds.
In terms of hot rollers, Joey says they are making a big comeback, especially for fall styles. He cautions women as the “right” hot rollers are hard to find as most come with a variety of sizes. “What you want is a set with all of the same size rollers to create the big curls women are craving,” he explains. “Babyliss is one brand that offers a one-size set to create the look.”
Noufal says you'll still want to blow dry your hair smooth and then put the rollers in. He outlines proper hot roller instructions: Set it just like a perm. For your hair on your crown, roll front to back. Then for hair on sides and back go top to bottom. Joey advises not having perfect "columns" as you'll end up with lines. He recommends staggering the rollers for a more natural look. Let the rollers cool in your hair for 20 minutes and then take out with head upside down and then use your fingers to comb through and style. Do not use a brush as this will frizz out the curls.
Other fall hair trends in terms of color, cut, and style include:
* Length: Joey says a bi-level cut will be trendy this fall. Shorter in the back and longer in the front for lengths above shoulder and below ear. The back is slightly tapered. This style is versatile in it can be sleek or textured depending on how it’s styled. This cut’s popularity is being fueled by Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and is attributed to influencing Katie Holmes' new cut.
* Color: Multi-colors, two to three, will drive styles this season. He predicts the following highlight combinations will dominate the scene: blonde/brown/with some red; and triple blonde tones...high level blonde/medium blond/dark blonde.
* About Red: Joey explains that this year's Red is more of a blue based red color, giving a slight purple illusion.
* All Hair Lengths: For short/medium/long hair, there is one styling trick that is popular for all...height at the crown area. Joey says women should tease this area so it will stay all day. The look created is a more polished style, he explains.
* Long Hair: Big curls are the continued trend as seen on Carrie Underwood.
* Bangs: Bangs that are side swept are popular this fall.
